Crowdfunding Campaign for Resettled Refugee Rental Marketplace

ReHome is a marketplace platform that helps resettled refugees by by accelerating successful matches with secure rental homes. They help landlords and resettlement agencies bridge the gaps in their communications and clearly align timelines. They are currently raising funds to expand their mission to power the refugee-welcomg rental market across the United States. They exist for impact, not investment returns and rely on support to make their vision possible.

Their first paid service, ReHome Matching Services (RMS), charges resettlement providers a success-based service fee of $500 when their clients move into a unit they matched with through ReHome. The web interface for housing management that they will build over the next 18 months (using donated money) will allow them to sign paid contracts for RMS across the country and will help providers make more ReHome matches more efficiently. They estimate that this will service 120 offices with RMS by 2028, and will make $20M in ARR in success-based match fees from their share of their annual housing matches. In addition to RMS as a paid service, they will eventually start charging for third-party integrations in the matches between landlords and refugee tenants, such as charging a transaction fee in exchange for access to a specialized rental insurance policy that is bundled into a ReHome match. These integrations can cause multiple streams of revenue per household rather than just the $500/placement fee.

They’ve piloted the matching services in Lancaster, PA and are gearing up to scale across the country with a crowdfunding campaign…
